Students are expected to wear the correct Gleeson College uniform and to do so in a manner that signifies pride in both the College and their own personal appearance. The correct uniform is to be worn on all occasions when attending the College or when representing the College.
We ask for the support of all families in ensuring that students present themselves appropriately attired in the correct uniform as outlined in the Uniform Policy, and as agreed to upon signing your admission contract to accept enrolment at Gleeson College.
The Uniform Guide, below, serves as a pictorial reference to assist families in understanding the uniform policy.
The Gleeson College Leadership Team reserves the right at all times to make final decisions regarding uniform and presentation.

Students can self-refer via the Wellbeing page in the Portal Workspace on SEQTA. Alternatively, parents/caregivers can request a counselling appointment for their child by communicating with their child’s House Leader or by emailing the Wellbeing Centre at WBC@gleeson.catholic.edu.au (Please note, this is a voluntary service that students must consent to).
A Student Counsellor cannot replace the work of a mental health professional. If it becomes apparent that a student is in crisis; or has a suspected undiagnosed mental health concern, the Student Counsellor will contact the parent/caregiver to discuss referral to an appropriate external provider. If the student is receiving external supports, there is capacity for Student Counsellors to liaise and work in partnership.

Bringing Your Own Device has allowed students to: start work more quickly, save work and continue working at home without difficulty, use a faster device, carry a lightweight device and personally configure their device as required.
Ensuring your child has an adequate device is very important and requires consideration of many factors: price, battery life, processing speed (processor plus RAM), and software requirements.
Laptop computers (also called Notebooks or MacBooks) are preferred as they support all the software that may be required at all levels, in a form that promotes ease of use and portability.
NOTE: Laptops that have Snapdragon (ARM) Processors may be supported, but there are application limitations. Eg. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro and AUTODESK Fusion 360 are currently not able to run on ARM Processors. If you intend on purchasing a laptop with an ARM Processor like Snapdragon, please research that all applications required for school work are supported.
Students may rent a device from the College and return it at the end of the academic year.A limited number of rental laptops are available each year, and are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.A refundable bond and rental fee are payable prior to distribution of the device to the student at the commencement of the academic year.
Parents entering into this arrangement must sign a rental agreement.
Below are links to the devices recommended by Gleeson College. We recommend purchasing your device through the Gleeson College Purchase Portal, as it includes additional warranty benefits.
Purchasing through the portal ensures your device is covered with the appropriate warranty and support throughout your child’s time at the College.
Gleeson College does not support or recommend Chromebooks, Android tablets or Apple iPads. These devices are limited in functionality and will cause difficulty in completing set curriculum tasks. We recommend avoiding purchase of these devices for school use.
Gleeson College requires that any BYOD purchased can be charged via USB-C.
Gleeson College offers a rental system for laptops for full/part school year. There are only a limited number of laptops available, and it is on a ‘first in’ basis.
Cost*: $400 per calendar year
*This cost is for the 2026 school year and is subject to change for subsequent years.
**The bond can only be refunded once the laptop has been returned, inspected and verified in good working condition.
Click on the button to apply for a rental laptop. If you are applying for more than one rental laptop, a digital form will need to be completed for each student.
If a rental laptop is available a digital document will be forwarded to parents for E-Signature.
Bond and Rental Fees must be paid to the College Finance Department by contacting the College on 08 8282 6600. Laptops will not be issued until all fees are paid in full.
