All Specialist Sport Programs include an application process and additional costs apply.

Year 7 Camp

Our Year 7 students enjoy an incredible three day camp in Term 1. The camp provides an important opportunity for students to build positive relationships with their peers and teachers as they begin their high school journey.

Across the three days, students embrace every aspect of the experience, forming new friendships, strengthening existing connections, and step outside their comfort zones. The camp also offers valuable moments for self-reflection, helping students to grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.

The program is designed to develop key skills such as initiative, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and leadership. It is fantastic to see so many students challenge themselves, support one another, and fully engage in each activity.

The camp is a highly rewarding experience and sets a strong foundation for a positive and connected year for our Year 7 cohort.

In the classroom

Year 7 Design & Technologies students tackled the task of cooking delicious pancakes. A number of students were wearing their custom, handmade aprons, which they created as part of the textiles component of the subject.

Transition to Gleeson

Gleeson College works closely with our Partner Primary Schools to engage parents and staff in planning successful communication and transition strategies. Students also engage in an orientation visit and we provide a variety of parent engagement opportunities. Year 7 students also begin the school year a day before other year levels, which provides additional time to become familiar with their surroundings and the workings of the College.
